Bristlr Interview with John

- 2
We obviously love all things beards, and when we heard about Bristlr we had to ask the main man John for an interview.  JohnKershaw How did the idea for Bristlr come about? It originally started as something of a joke; the idea of a website which connects people who have beards with people who don't, so they can stroke them. I made a fake website, and people started signing up! bristlr.1 Have you had any interesting love stories happen as a result of your app? I'm not sure of any big stories; I've been thanked by a lot of people for great dates. I do know of at least one very small-world type thing: I was chatting to somebody from New York (I chat to lots of people, it's a great way to find out how people are enjoying Bristlr), and she said she had a few dates lined up. She mentioned one of the guys, and I thought they sounded familiar. Turns out she was going on a date with one of my mates! Bristlr LovelyBeards.com Do you use the app yourself? I do, and it's really lovely. I like the chilled out vibe you get from the app. Meeting people is less serious and more relaxed compared to other apps I've used.   How long have you had your beard? About 5 or 6 years now. I last shaved when I graduated uni.   What is the best thing about having a beard? Keeping my face nice and warm in a cold wind. Bristlr Do you have a pet name for your beard? I don't, but I have had people refer to it (him?) as a separate entity to me.   Has anyone ever told you to shave off your beard, and what did you say to them? I don't think anyone I chat to would dare.   Thank you to John for taking time out to chat with us.  You can join Bristlr, by downloading the App here - Android and Apple Smartphones.    Is there something you feel we should have on the website?  You can contact us here or on Facebook, and Twitter LovelyBeards
