Forrest Gump Runner grows a Beard

We love hearing bearded related stories but this might be the best one yet! Runner Ewan Gordon has completed a 1050-mile route from John O’ Groats to Land’s End dressed as Forrest Gump. 43-year-old Gordon, who first began running in 2011, ran an average of 26 miles per day for six weeks to complete the course. Gordon undertook the challenge in memory of 9-year-old family friend Thomas Laurie, who passed away from the rare genetic disorder Cockayne Syndrome in February 2014. The disorder, which causes premature ageing and stunted growth amongst other symptoms, currently affects around 300 children in the UK. Real Forest Gump What is the best thing about your beard? Best thing, women love my beard, those that don't like it are in denial!   Rumour has it that your beard ran the 1050 mile run and you happened to be just part of it, is this true? Yes it is indeed the beard that smashed the route out, I was playing piggy back.   What happens to the beard now? I am going to get it shaped nicely for the summer so I can enjoy Ice Creams again.   Have you heard from the fake Forrest Gump yet? His name is Tom Hanks. My friends have been tagging Tom Hanks in Twitter, he's a legend! Forest Gump runner Would you ever do it again?
